About the Royston Rockets

The Royston BMX Club was formed nearly 25 years ago to promote the sport of BMX Racing in the area around Royston.

Over the years, the Club has attracted members from across East Anglia and is widely recognised as one of the most friendly clubs in the country.

The club has it's own race track situated in Burns Road, Royston, which is easily accessible from the A505 Royston bypass.

The track is on land owned by the North Herts District Council and is open for use at all times.

Club's members take part in race meetings at Club level, at Regional level and at National or even International level.

The membership covers a wide age range and both sexes, so everyone can take part - even Mums and Dads!

How to get to the circuit

From the A1 turn off at Baldock, take the A505 to Royston. Turn right at the second roundabout (A1198 junction) or from the M11 turn off at Duxford onto the A505 to Royston and turn left at the second roundabout. After the A505 roundabout, travel 100m and straight over the roundabout by the superstore. Continue 100m to the next roundabout and turn left into Burns Road signposted to school and Community Centre. Pass the school on the left to the roundabout and turn right. The track entrance is the first left 5m after the road island. The track is usually signed by small green/yellow BMX stickers on the road signs.

Beware: It is a very right turn and can only be taken in one by a car. If you have a trailer or large vehicle, follow the road round past the Community and Health Centres to the bus turn round area, then come back to the track entrance.
