Winter Series Racing

Recent dates for the East Anglian Winter Series have been wiped out by the weather – Ipswich found the track OK but the parking under water with the local council stopping vehicles going on the grass and Peterborough had a torrential downpour late on Saturday afternoon which left the track in a sorry state – whatever happened to the drainage system? And now Dunstable have been unable to sort their track so the event has been moved to Milton Keynes – weather permitting!

To make the series into a six round package the Regional Committee have decided to make the Spring Classic meeting at Norwich on April 11th the final round of the series – registration for this event follows the normal Summer format and closes at 1100am so please do not arrive late.

Don’t forget to check the Regional hotline before travelling if the weather is bad - 01449 722115

Club Promotion Day - 4th April Gates open 1200

Over 25 schools have been contacted about the club Promotion day – as well as the press. Posters are up around Royston Town centre so we can look forward to a good response. It will take the form of a normal practice session starting about midday until late afternoon although we will try a few races to show visitors what we do.

This is a good opportunity for those of you who have not sent in your membership forms to save yourself the postage!

To make it work we need the support of every club member and their families – bring your friends, cousins nephews, aunts and uncles!

Practice Sessions

Tuesday evening sessions start on April 13th gates open about 1900pm – practice for the first few weeks before we get into the Club Summer Series which will run right through August this year. Volunteers to move the caravan are needed – as are those to help make the drinks, sell the food and run the races – training in most things will be given!
