EA
CHAMPIONSHIPS AT ROYSTON
The
final event of the East Anglia BMX Racing Summer calendar attracted
almost 140 riders to the East Anglian Open Championships. The rain
during the week before helped hold the race surface together and the
blitz of track work on the preceding Saturday, and regular sweeping
by the club members produced fast and competitive.

to the qualifying stages to take their positions in the main final
although the final positions are unrecorded!

The
final event of the BMX Racing Summer calendar was the British

Club Summer Series
We still have to finish this off with
the presentation of the trophies and end of year trophies.
It has been suggested we do the same as last year and have a
session of 10 Pin Bowling (probably in Stevenage) followed by the
presentation. The date has not been confirmed yet but we are looking
at early December.

Sports
Quiz – Royston and District Sports Council – 11th November
The
club only entered one team last year – team name was “Last
again” and we lived up to the name with yet another last place
although we nearly lost our record as we were only one point behind
the next team and we got over half the questions right! If you have
a good memory and are a sports buff make it a date for this year –
it’s held in the Royston Bowls club which has cheap, limited
drinks but a great buffet!
